Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: PICK UP AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

Welcome to Tanzania! As soon as you land, a friendly representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a chance to unwind and prepare for the incredible adventure that awaits you!

Arusha is a vibrant city and a crucial hub for safari experiences in northern Tanzania, making it an essential stop for most travelers. Don’t miss out on this exciting starting point for your unforgettable journey!

Dinner and overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge

Your Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season.

Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river. Additionally, you may encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity. Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park.

After your game drive, you will transfer to Escarpment Luxury Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Eyasi, a remote and scenic area located south of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Upon arrival, you will visit the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania, and have the unique opportunity to join them on a traditional hunting experience while learning about their ancient way of life. You will also meet the Datoga people, known for their traditional blacksmithing skills and rich cultural heritage.

After this cultural immersion, you will return to Escarpment Luxury Camp   for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Eyasi landscape

After breakfast, you will drive into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop and take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Following this, you will continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area until you reach the southern part of Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti National Park is truly spectacular, known for its vast open grasslands that provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. While it is home to a wide variety of wildlife, it is especially famous for its incredible annual migration. Depending on the time of year you visit, you may witness one of the seven wonders of the natural world, as vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate in search of water and fresh grass.

You will indulge in a delightful picnic lunch and experience a magical overnight stay in exceptional accommodations within the breathtaking Serengeti National Park.

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying spectacular views and wildlife along the way. You’ll spend an unforgettable afternoon exploring this natural wonder before heading to your accommodation in Karatu.

Encircled by towering volcanic walls, Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking sanctuary teeming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features golden savannahs, lakes, lush swamps, and acacia woodlands. Formed over two million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, it is the world’s largest unbroken caldera.

Descending into the crater is an adventure, offering unparalleled views at every turn. On the crater floor, you’ll find herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species, from flamingos to crowned cranes. It’s also one of the few places to spot the endangered black rhino grazing in the grasslands.

This extraordinary journey immerses you in one of Africa’s most remarkable ecosystems.

Dinner and overnight at Escarpment Luxury Camp

This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park—your final destination on this epic safari! Lake Manyara National Park is a small but diverse park 120km west of Arusha. Everything you will see here is on a different scale. It is both compact (one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary).

The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and look out for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. After your game drive, we will drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
